The Business Mixer was created to bring together people who care about business, ownership, development, creativity, and community progress. The purpose is simple but powerful: connect the right people, start the right conversations, and create an environment where ideas can move from talk into structure.
Oakland has always carried culture, energy, resilience, and innovation. TBM is built around the belief that those qualities should be connected to business growth, economic opportunity, and community-led development. When small businesses, creators, organizers, investors, and professionals gather with intention, they can begin to form the foundation of something stronger than isolated individual effort.
This platform is the beginning of a larger system. The site will eventually support sign-ups, member profiles, event data, business listings, status tracking, and communication tools. For now, this static version gives the mixer a clean public home while leaving the structure ready for future backend expansion.
